“The Journey, the Mother, the Movement, the King, and Now” premiered nationally

                                   on Monday, January 15, 2007.  The exhibit debuted at Michigan State University.

                                  “The “Journey, the Mother, the Movement, the King, and Now” was designed and

                                   curated by Gregory Reed, a renowned U.S. collector, Keeper of the Word Foundation,

                                   and archivist, Patrice Wilson.

The Exhibit Includes:

• Doctor Martin Luther King Junior’s original documents from the March 7, 1965, Selma, Alabama march
• Rare artifacts from Malcolm X
• Articles pertaining to Rosa Parks

Exhibit Highlights:

• The first public viewing of artifacts from the African American enslavement
• Actual fingerprints captured from Rosa Parks in 1955 after her arrest
• Rare documents from the gruesome march at Selma, Alabama
